Helicopter Tour of New York City

Today we are setting off on a helicopter tour of New York City. We arrive at Downtown Manhattan and after a short safety briefing we are walking out onto the heliport and climbing aboard the Bell 206B Jet Ranger.

Our pilot introduces himself and soon the two-blade, single engine helicopter lifts off the ground. We glide over the Statue of Liberty (which looks much smaller from above!) and Ellis Island before following the Hudson River past One World Trade Centre and the 9/11 Memorial.

We can see the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building behind it as we continue towards the Brooklyn Bridge. Soon we are flying over the vast Central Park that spans over 843 acres.

Thank you to Zip Aviation for a wonderful helicopter tour of New York City!

Disclaimer: The video is a short clip of the personalised video provided by Zip Aviation. Our tour was very similar however the sky was a little greyer and there were spots of rain on the windshield!
