My Travel Bucket List If I Win The Lottery

We live in a great big and beautiful world. Some people make it their quest in life to see it, but what about the others? While some say it is because of their family, job, or other responsibilities the main reason people list why they don’t travel the world is money. 

How did I make the list?

COVID cramped my style. I love to play the lottery. I used to walk to my corner store every week, and buy as many tickets as I could afford. But then COVID came and the little store closed. Then my friend told me about Lottoland. I registered on their site and found where I could place my bets online. The betting is the same and the action is the same. When you win, your winnings are the same. This is when I started my list. So, just for fun let me share with you, my travel bucket list if I win the lottery.

Masai Mara National Reserve

Masai Mara National Reserve is in Kenya. It shares an unfenced border with Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park and together this is Africa’s premier safari location. Since its establishment in 1961, Masai Mara National Reserve has served to protect a multitude of animal species. This includes those commonly referred to as the “Big Five.” They include the:

• Leopard 
• Elephant
• Rhino (Black or White)
• Cape Buffalo
• Lion

Saint-Tropez

This was a vacation hot spot for the rich and famous in the 1960s and it is very popular today. It is small but one of the most popular locations in the French Riviera. This small French town was once a fishing village. But, the natural beauty of its crystal blue seas, sandy beaches, and old-world charm could not be kept secret forever. Today the town is a place where luxury hotels cater to your every desire. Chic boutiques offer the latest fashions and you can often catch sight of a celebrity sunbathing. This is truly a paradise if you can afford to stay there. 

Things to do

• Visit  La Ponche: The Old Town
  • This is the oldest part of the town. Part of the quaint cobblestone paths has been left open for you to be able to reach this area where you can experience Saint-Tropez from the beginning. 

• Eglise de Notre-Dame de l’Assomption 
  • (26 Rue Gambetta). With its beautiful Italian Baroque bell tower, this church accentuates the Saint-Tropez skyline. Visitors can view the bust of Saint Tropez, the town’s patron saint.

• Chapelle Notre-Dame de l’Annonciade 
  • This chapel was once the Church of the White Penitents. Dating back to 1510, they were founded by the Catholic brotherhood founded during the Middle Ages

• Museum of Maritime History
  • Visit this museum that was built in the 1600s, in a space that was formerly the citadel’s dungeons.

Bay of Kotor, Montenegro

• This collection of scattered coastal towns are known as Boka. Words cannot describe this paradise on Earth. It is almost as if the sea designed the towns centuries ago and set out to cut them out of the mountains. If that were the case, the work continues. The Bay of Kotor is wedged between rough mountains with sharp cliffs making a beautiful and unusual backdrop. As you make your way through the town you will find narrow, winding roads, with sparkling straits of water. Exploring the town will lead you to gulfs, waterfalls, and unusual shapes that only nature can create.

  • Get your camera ready. You will see medieval towns, winding roads, and waterfall views with backgrounds like nowhere else on earth. Clear seas, beautiful shores, and plant life.
• Tour the Old Town
  • Old town charm is everywhere you look. Children go to school in centuries-old schoolhouses. The streets are made of cobblestone. Families hang their wash on a clothes-line, and everywhere you look you will see cats.
    • Cats line the streets in Kotor. There are hundreds of cats that roam the streets. They are descendants of seafaring felines of long ago
• Nightlife
  • The town comes alive at night with music, dancing, bars, and castle-top clubbing

• Dining 
  • You will have no problem finding good restaurants. There is a good selection and the menus will rival the best of the best. Of course, fresh fish is always outstanding. 

We all have big dreams about winning the lottery and traveling the world. That dream becomes a reality for some. But that doesn’t mean the rest of us are doomed to stay in our home towns forever only experiencing faraway lands online or in books. If we do the work we can find ways to travel cheap, to find cheap accommodations and to save money. Sometimes it is a matter of priorities. Some of us need to start looking at what we want to do tomorrow instead of giving in to temptation today. 

The world is an exciting and beautiful place and it belongs to all of us. So make a plan and go see it. The only one stopping you is you.
