ROAD TRIP!
Think you’ve had an amazing road trip and great stories to tell? Not like this road trip you haven’t! Check out traveller Ofer Rozenman’s story and video below!
Last September my wife and I traveled with our friends to Eastern Europe. My wife was born and raised there, and instead of a regular family visit, we invited our friends and decided to make a road trip out of it. We landed in Bosnia, where we visited Sarajevo and Mostar.
From there we continued to Dubrovnik. We were absolutely amazed by the beautiful Old town, and many of our shots are from there. After Dubrovnik, we did a short trip to Montenegro and from there drove the entire Croatian coast from the southern part, up to the island of Krk in the northern part.
I think that was our favorite part of the trip, we enjoyed so much the Adriatic beaches, and we can’t wait to go back. Since we were close to the Slovenian border we decided to visit the Postojna cave. Lastly, we drove to Venice, which is especially dear to us since we met there 6 years ago!
As designated shooter I’ve tried capturing the 3000km road trip with this stop motion video made of 200GB and 8000 stills. I used the Sony RX1, and all the photos were taken without a tripod.
The editing process took me a while. I decided not to edit it by a chronological order because I wanted to emphasize the road trip, which was the main part of our trip.
If you are planning a visit, I highly recommend visiting Sarajevo (Bosnia), and the beach towns Split and Sibenik (Croatia). If you are in the island of Krk, I recommend exploring the entire island, which consists of many charming places (we stayed in Baska). If you want to enjoy the beaches, the best time of the year is between the end of June to the beginning of September.
