Just imagine snow instead of blue skies (would you believe it rained two of the four days I was in Barcelona for my birthday?). These Gaudi designed houses wouldn’t look out of place near a Christmas tree.
If they haven’t monitored this idea yet, dibs! Have you been to the National Gallery in London? They’ve stuck Van Gogh’s sunflowers on an apron and everything!
Anyway, Casa del Guarda, to give the houses their proper title, are porter pavilions located at the entrance of Parc Guell.
This is all before you actually enter Parc Guell which offers more beautiful Gaudi designs including the famous lizard. And the view from the top isn’t bad either.
