Mofongo is one of Puerto Rico’s most popular dishes, made with fried plantains. It generally looks unassuming but is extremely tasty and filling. Mofongo can be served alone, with a side of salad, or ‘relleno’ (stuffed). Mofongo relleno can be stuffed with practically anything, from meat to shellfish and vegetables.
